Dear Woman Business Owners,

WEConnect International is a non-profit organisation that identifies, educates, registers, and certifies growth-orientated women's business enterprises based outside of the U.S.A. that are at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by one or more women, and then connects them with large multinational corporations. More information can be found on www.weconnectinternational.org.

WEConnect International’s vision is to have a world in which women have the same opportunity as their male counterparts to design and implement business solutions that create wealth and ensure the sustainable prosperity of their communities.

In South Africa we engage with a growing list of corporate representatives from Intel, ExxonMobil, EY, Protea/Marriott Hotels, Accenture, Absa/Barclays, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Hilton, Monsanto and many more.

By registering on the eNetwork your business will be on our radar and visible to the corporate members globally. You will have visibility on tender and business opportunities, events and other relevant upcoming activities. We send regular mailings to our database on the above, and event invites are sent first to our members. Self-Registration offers a chance to create a profile in the eNetwork and access to training modules to assess business readiness and build capacity.

Self-Registration process:

The sign up link is: http://weconnectinternational.org/en/get-self-registered - have a look through the information and the apply link is in the top right corner of the screen. When you register, please select ‘Self-Registration’ as the online application type. Your information is only added to the system after you have added all the requested information and pressed “Submit”

The second level of membership is Certification, certified members of WEConnect International get direct introductions to the Corporate members, have first access to business opportunities. Many of our corporate members will not meet or add a business to their supplier database if they are not certified. Certification has the same benefits of self-registration but also includes an individual consultation with a WEConnect International assessor that will provide customized feedback on business readiness and, after a review for eligibility, our Seal of Certification designating your business as a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Certification in South Africa costs US$600 per year, which is paid to WEConnect International in Washington.

Certification process:

  1. You must first have completed the self –registration, submitted your application and received an email confirming the acceptance. You then need to complete the certification application online.
  2. To complete the certification application please login to the eNetwork and in the menu bar at the top of the page there will be an option that says “Get Certified”. https://weconnectinternational.org/en/register/enetwork
  3. Pay the certification fee using one of the payment options offered (PayPal or Invoice to do a bank transfer)
  4. We will send you the certification documents to assist you with the preparation of the process, this will include the following documents:
  5. Checklist of documents required at the site visit
  6. Full certification process and procedure
  7. Payment options

WEConnect International certification will further benefit your company, assisting with market penetration and growth. We are working hard to bring more opportunities to our Certified members, this includes:
