Membership at Work

How can you make the most of your membership with the BWA?

  1. Become a member: To steal a slogan from the Lotto, “You can’t win it if you’re not in it”!  Pay your membership fees and join our community.  For R550 a year, you will have a world of opportunities made available to you.  Our membership benefits range from national benefits to branch-specific benefits such as reduced event fees and members-only advertising and exposure opportunities not to mention a host of other personalised benefits.
  2. Build the relationships you need and want: Like any organisation, sitting on the periphery is not going to see you reap the benefits which are available to our members.  Networking requires relationship building and relationship building requires effort.  Growing your business and acquiring skills requires an active and positive attitude.  We know you have that – after all you’re a member of our dynamic organisation.
  3. Spread the word:  If you want to grow the number of successful businesswomen in our branch (which already number over 500) then tell the women with whom you want to mingle about us.  Share the secret of your successful network – an organisation committed to providing you with the support you need to grab every opportunity that comes your way.
  4. Help us raise funds for our CSI project and other programmes:  If you have a contact in an organisation that may be able to help us access CSI or marketing funds, let us know.  We have wonderful partnership offerings which see us build strong relationships with brands with the same vision and zest for life as the BWA.  Don’t be afraid to facilitate these discussions – we have a team of experts who know how to add value to our sponsors, donors and contributors.
  5. Keep talking to us: Love something? Hate something? Have a brilliant idea?  Tell us!  We can only grow through the input we receive from our members.  Volunteer your time as a committee member and take the time to have the discussions with our members and leadership which will see the organisation deliver meaningful results for its members.
